Spaniard arrested for fake ATM card use

Fernando Manuel Navarro has been arrested for allegedly using fake cards to steal millions of baht from Pattaya-area ATMs.

A Spanish man has been arrested with more than 500 fake electronic cards, accused of stealing millions of baht from Pattaya-area ATMs.
Provincial and local police apprehended Fernando Manuel Navarro, 56, at the P Mansion on Soi Nernplabwan July 28. Investigators seized the fake cards, a notebook computer and mobile phone.
The arrest came after fraud officers from Siam Commercial Bank alerted authorities to suspicious withdrawals from Navarro and two Romanians. The Eastern Europeans remain at large. (CPRD)
