HRH Princess Soamsawalee graciously presided over a charity event in celebration of H.M. the King’s 86th birthday at the Amari Watergate Bangkok recently. The fundraiser was organised by Saisom Wongsasuluck (seated 4th left), President of the Caring Hearts for AIDS Foundation, in cooperation with Amari Watergate Bangkok, led by GM Pierre Andre Pelletier (kneeling 4th left). The proceeds will be donated to the Caring Hearts for AIDS Foundation.


Karin Bloemen, well known singer, actor, comedian and entertainer from the Netherlands, recently stayed at the Thai Garden Resort. She was welcomed by General Manager Rene Pisters who made her feel at quite at home. Karin proudly calls Pattaya her home even though she was in town for only a few days at the invitation of the Nederlandse Vereniging Thailand Pattaya (The Dutch Expatriate Club of Pattaya). Karin made a special trip from the Netherlands to perform for the Dutch community in Hua Hin before making her way to the Eastern Seaboard. Her performance was a huge success in a sold out ballroom, pleasing all Dutch expatriates and other visitors to Pattaya. Among the guests of honour were H.E. J.A. Boer, the Ambassador of the Netherlands together with his lovely wife. The Dutch Expatriate Club of Pattaya has over 200 members and was founded in 2004. Manasawin Nanatasen, a.k.a. Tik Shiro (2nd left), a popular Thai singer, actor, television and music producer, presented an Honesty Certificate Award to Tanawan Likitchirakul (3rd right), a room attendant of the Pullman Pattaya Hotel G to thank her for her honesty. Tanawan had found and returned a gold ring which the star had lost during his last visit to the hotel. They were joined by PR manager Janjira Buanlee (left), Director of Rooms Prarinya Charoenrat (2nd right) and Ploypaitoon Chitsomnuk (right) the hotel’s training manager.


Staff and management of the Holiday Inn Pattaya organised a Hawaiian themed thank you party for the Pattaya media recently. The guests were also introduced to Melinda Lampier, the acting general manager.


The Pattaya International Hospital (PIC Group), with the cooperation of the Pattaya Fire Brigade, organized their annual firefighting drill recently. Staff were trained to handle emergency situations should they arise.
