Pattaya offering free flu shots

Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn is one of the first to brave the needle and get vaccinated.

Warunya Thongrod
Pattaya City Hall is offering free immunization shots against seasonal and H1N1 influenza.
The city’s three deputy mayors kicked off the immunization drive May 23, offering shots to more than 100 city workers.
Officials said flu shots are best administered before rainy periods in May and October. Children as young as six months can receive shots and vaccinations must be repeated each year.
Deputy Mayor Wattana Chantanawaranon said the city is concerned about the health of its citizens and is offering vaccinations upon request.
Those wanting to take advantage of the program must contact the city Public Health Office on Soi 6 or Pattaya Hospital on Soi Buakaow.
