Neoh Kean Boon (left), resident manager of Dusit Thani
Pattaya and Arum Chaisomsri (2nd right), training manager are joined by the
hotel management and Dusit International management trainees who recently
paid a visit to the resort as well as the dusit d2 property for inspection
and familiarization of the city. Hotel GM Chatchawal Supachayanont gave them
a pep talk for encouragement and understanding of hotel management
perspectives. The management trainees are composed of university graduates
with a bachelor’s degree and some are Dusit employees who decided to enter
the program to study among others, the integration of theories, operational
principles and practices into project presentation to the corporate
executives’ level.

H.E. James Wise, Australian Ambassador to Thailand was
guest of honour at the annual “Melbourne Cup 2012” charity event held at the
Amari Watergate Bangkok recently. The affair organized by the Australian and
New Zealand Woman’s Group (ANZWG) under the leadership of President Anne
Sidwell, raised funds to support the Northern Mobile Dental Clinic based at
Mae Sariang Hospital under the Smiles on Wings Project. (l-r) Pierre Andre

In their never ending quest for perfection in the
hospitality business, Saming Seubsakul, Executive Director of the Diana
Group led a team of assistant managers and supervisors on an educational
trip to Langkawi, Malaysia where they observed and learned the tricks of the
trade to sharpen their skills in tourism services and management.
The Vie Trio Band, the multi-talented sisters & brother performers, thrilled
diners with their dazzling act at the Mantra Restaurant recently. At the end
of their sell-out performance Richard Margo (2nd right), Resident Manager of
Amari Orchid Pattaya presented Peye (right), Parn (3rd left) and Pui (2nd
left) with a bouquet of flowers each and toasted their success with
champagne.
Pol. Col. Wilawan Pitawaranon, Deputy Commander of the
Immigration Division Bangkok led a team of 50 officers on a visit to the
Father Ray Foundation recently where they were welcomed by Prathum Sukhkerd,
manager of corporate and development and Udomchoke Churat, Director of
Redemptorist Vocational School respectively. On this eventful visit, the
visitors donated 80,000 baht towards the welfare of the more than 850
physically challenged students at the school.
