On Saturday, October 13, at the Thailand property awards 2012, held at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Bangkok, Rony Fineman (president of the Nova Group) and Kobi Elbaz (project partner) received the winning award for Best Condominium Eastern Seaboard for The Cliff Residence.
The project, which is due to be completed early next year and is over 90% sold, is already leading the skyline in the Cosy Beach area of Pratamnak.
“We are obviously very excited with this award … it has taken a lot of hard work from everyone involved in the project, and the end result is something that we and our customers can be very proud of,” said Rony.
“This is a great reward for everyone involved in the project. Rony and I both had a vision for this project, and it is very exciting to be in the final stages of completion and see our vision become reality,” said Kobi.
The Cliff Residence is a 27 story, 426 room condominium project in the heart of Cosy Beach, built on a 5912sqm site that incorporates over fifty percent green area.
The awards didn’t stop there for the Nova Group, as Nova Ocean View’s 79 unit boutique condominium on Pratamnak Soi 6 also received two accolades: Highly Commended Certificates in both the Best Affordable Condo Development (Resort) and Best Boutique Condo Development (Eastern Seaboard) categories.

(Media partner of Thailand Property Awards 2012) and Peta Ruiter, Director of Business Development, Hilton Pattaya at the Thailand Property Awards 2012 presentation at Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok on October 13, 2012.

Hilton Pattaya recently announced that it has been named country winner at the 2012 Thailand Property Awards for Best Hotel Architectural Design. The award was presented at Dusit Thani Hotel, Bangkok on October 13.
Thailand Property Awards celebrate the best of the best and offer an unrivalled showcase of Thailand’s residential real estate industry. The professionally-run awards have put Thailand’s real estate industry on the world stage. It begins with nominations by the public and the industry, followed by entry submissions and judging by a panel of professionals, including site visits for the top short-listed developments in each category. Nominees for Thailand Property Awards go through a tough and grueling process with only one overall winner awarded in each category.
“This highly coveted design award bears testament that Hilton Pattaya will stand out as a distinctive, best in design & architecture and luxurious hotel that will excel in the keenly competitive hospitality industry in Thailand and Asia Pacific region,” said Peta Ruiter, director of business development, Hilton Pattaya.
Celebrating its second year of operations in November 2012 since its opening in late-November 2010, not only has Hilton Pattaya become a highly popular hotel among local and international travelers in a short period of time, it has been creating waves in both the domestic and international hospitality scene by sweeping 31 hospitality awards across categories such as design, architecture, service and more.

AFG celebrates its 5th birthday at the Amari

Inaugural President George Strampp delighted everyone with a most amusing video detailing his several years at TRW.

Dr. Iain Corness
The Automotive Focus Group (AFG) celebrated its 5th birthday with a stylish party held in the Amari’s Ice Bar. All the four past presidents were there, but long-standing Secretary Maurice Bromley and his wife Renita were in South Africa and were unable to get flights arranged in the time frame necessary.
MC for the evening, Dr. Iain, introduced the presidents in turn, who were able to tell the members of the advances in the group during their tenure at the top. Inaugural President George Strampp delighted everyone with a most amusing video detailing his several years at TRW, and admitted that he only agreed to take on the onerous job of organizing the AFG because he was several sheets to the wind at the time of asking!
Following George was Mike Diamente, who had led the AFG for almost three terms and who described the gradual breakaway from the Australian Chamber of Commerce, with the AFG finally able to stand on its own two feet.
The third president was the quiet Australian James Beeson who spoke on how he so unexpectedly went from being a committee member to the top job. James said, “Every committee member has, since the inception of the AFG, been a non paid volunteer and the running and the reputation of the professionalism of the AFG has grown to be well respected by the BOI and other organizations and the Chambers of Commerce who service Thailand.”
Finally the fourth and incumbent president, Uli Kaiser, spoke briefly on the future aims of the AFG, and suggested everyone descend on the Amari buffet.
It was a fun event, which everyone who attended did enjoy, and there was even some high-level networking going on as well!
