Events
Pattaya Players fifth annual
Haunted Halloween will take place at Mulligan’s Lakeside (Lake
Mabprachan) on Saturday, October 27. As well as the traditional Halloween
games and attractions there will also be a live action weapons
demonstration, fire show, merry-go-round, racing cars, a jumpy castle … plus
much more. Fair-style food and drinks will be on sale all night long! All
attendees are encouraged to dress up in traditional Halloween costumes.
Taking place from 6:00 p.m. onwards, tickets will be sold at the event (on
the night of) only. The admission price will be 200 baht per person and will

The famous Chonburi buffalo races will be held on
Monday, Oct. 29 on the field in front of the Chonburi Provincial Town Hall
as part of the week-long annual festival. Along with the races being held
throughout the day, spectators can also enjoy the “Miss Buffalo” contest,
folk music, fun games, rides for the children, and a plethora of food, drink
and handicraft stalls.
The next Lighthouse Club charity networking
evening will take place on Friday, November 2 at the Thai Garden Resort
on Pattaya North Road starting at 6 p.m. A Free flow of beer and wine plus
finger-food will be provided as long as stock lasts. Admission fee is THB
500 per person for both ladies and gentlemen (changed from previous events).

The Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC)
charity fundraising Christmas Bazaar will be held on 3 November at
the Hilton Hotel on Pattaya Beach Road. There will be a full program
of events during the day for young and old alike, including a Santa’s
Grotto, dancing demonstrations, a magician to entertain the children and of
course many items on sale that are not available in the shops. Vendors’

Thailand’s motorbike clubs and riders are invited to take
part in the Kwai Challenge 2012 on Sunday, November 11 in aid of the
2012 Poppy Appeal, the Thai Burma Railway Centre, and the Thai Veterans
Hospital in Bangkok. An organised motorcycle ride will start from Three
Pagodas Pass and end at the bridge over the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi town
(a shorter option will also be available). The cost to take part is 1000
baht and includes a t-shirt and poppy lapel badge plus refreshments and

The 2012 Ploenchit Fair will be held at Bangkok
International School on Saturday, 24th November, from 10.00am - 9.00pm. This
charity fundraising event is a family fun day, based on an English
fairground, as well as offering all day international food and beverage and
stage entertainment. Donations are currently being sought for goods or
promotional materials to be used in the central pool for the over 150+
stalls. All donations will be receipted and all donors listed in our
programme. This year will mark 55 years of assistance given to Thai

Clubs and Associations
The
next Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) meeting will be on
Sunday, Oct. 21. Everyone is warmly welcome. The speaker will be Dr.
Somboon Jirapattrathamrong from Phyathai Sriracha Hospital on what can be
done about and what our chances are of surviving a heart attack. Free blood
pressure checks will be available. The Club meets every Sunday morning at
the Tavern by the Sea restaurant located on the north end of Beach Road
(part of the Amari Orchid Resort). The program starts as usual at 10:30

The Pattaya
International Ladies Club (PILC) organizes regular lunches and coffee
mornings on the first and third Tuesday of every month. There is also a
newcomers coffee meeting at Casa Pascal on Second Road on the last Monday of

intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit,
Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to
provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff,
trained in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and

A Gurkha Curry Night will be held
at Tropical Bert’s on Pattaya 2nd Road on Saturday, Oct. 20 from 5

The fourth annual Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival & Competition
