Amari Pattaya has recently announced the appointment of a new executive chef at the luxury resort. Shaun Venter, from Cape Town, South Africa, has over 17 years of experience in kitchens ranging from luxury hotels, resorts, fine dining restaurants and contemporary upmarket bars. He is very proficient in creating effective and eye-catching Western and Southeast Asian dishes, as well as having a good understanding of Russian, Middle Eastern, French and Italian menus. Shaun has worked in many countries throughout his career, including the United Kingdom, the UAE and his native South Africa. He has been in Thailand for seven years and is happy to now call this country home.
“If you love your job, you will never work another day in your life,” says Shaun.
