Tour companies and local governments from Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Tak, Sukhothai, Kampaeng Phet and Uthai Thani were invited to meet with hoteliers and tour operators from Chonburi, Chachoengsao and Samut Prakan to work out packages and deals to bring meetings and junkets to the eastern region, particularly on weekdays and in the low season.

Pattaya and Chonburi were particularly of interest to the corporate bookers as it is both a popular tourist destination and the heart of the eastern economic engine.
