A 25-year-old woman died after she was given inhaled anaesthetic for a rhinoplasty surgery at a beauty clinic in Pathum Thani. Her death was reported to the police on Thursday.

Her girlfriend said she drove her to the clinic at 10 am and planned to pick her up at 3 pm after the surgery. When she returned to the clinic, she found rescuers carrying resuscitation equipment into the clinic and her girlfriend was unconscious.

She was informed that her girlfriend’s body temperature increased abnormally after inhaling anaesthetic and her heart stopped beating.

The woman visited the clinic for a new rhinoplasty after her first botched nose job left silicone’s implant leaking from her nose. Her body was sent to Thammasat University Hospital for an autopsy to determine the real cause of her death.

Provincial public health officials inspected the clinic and ordered the 30-day closure as its operation to offer service that is not allowed in its license. (TNA)
