Sansern Poljieak, the Secretary General of the National Anti- Corruption Commission (NACC), said today the committee in charge of investigating claims that have emerged from the bribery scandal at Britains Rolls-Royce and embroiled two high-profile state-controlled companies, Thai Airways International and PTT Public Company Limited, will next week begin questioning witnesses and the accused.

The committee will also contact Britains anti-corruption agency to request information about the case, in line with the Procedure for International Cooperation in the Enforcement of Penal Sentences Act. Sansern believes the information will be useful to the investigation.

Thai Airways and PTT have commented that they will appoint investigation teams of their own to probe the claims.
