The Consulate General of Vietnam in Khon Kaen celebrated its 30th anniversary with exhibitions and a formal reception, highlighting decades of growing cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand across political, economic, and cultural sectors.

KHON KAEN, Thailand – The Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Khon Kaen province has marked its 30th anniversary, celebrating long-standing political, economic, and cultural ties between Vietnam and Thailand.

Consul General Dinh Hoang Linh welcomed senior guests, including Khon Kaen Deputy Governor Yutthaporn Pirunsarn, Chinese Consul General Liu Hongmei, Lao Consul General Somsak Vilaython, and Thai Chamber of Commerce Senior Chairman Sanan Angubolkul, along with representatives from public and private sectors across the northeastern region.



The program included remarks from Nguyen Viet Loan, president of the Vietnam–Thailand Friendship Association, and Ho Van Lam, president of the Vietnamese Association in Thailand. Activities featured the opening of a historical exhibition room and a photo exhibition documenting three decades of the consulate’s presence, followed by a reception attended by guests.

Established on April 22, 1996, the consulate has served as a link between Vietnamese institutions and northeastern Thailand, supporting cooperation across multiple sectors and maintaining engagement with local communities and government units in both nations. (NNT)
