BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister of Tourism and Sports Sorawong Thienthong officially presided over the launch of a new zipline attraction at Roi Et Tower on August 23. The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Roi Et, the President of the Provincial Administrative Organization, the Mayor of Roi Et Municipality, and senior officials from local agencies.

The zipline adds an adventure element to Roi Et Tower, enhancing its appeal as a destination that blends cultural, educational, and recreational experiences. As a prominent landmark in Thailand’s Northeast region, the tower now offers a more interactive option for visitors, particularly younger travelers seeking more engaging activities.



Minister Sorawong commended the collaboration between the Roi Et Provincial Administrative Organization and Roi Et Municipality in completing the project. He noted that the new attraction is expected to support local tourism, generate income for the community, and enhance Roi Et’s status as a travel destination, all while preserving its cultural identity.

Tourism and sports remain key drivers in the government’s strategy for economic development.
