‘Thais Help Thais’ campaign returns with more discounted essentials

Deputy Prime Minister Suphajee Suthumpun and Deputy Interior Minister Phonphir Suwannachewee launch the second phase of a nationwide campaign offering discounted household goods while creating new sales opportunities for SMEs and local producers.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun and Deputy Interior Minister Phonphir Suwannachewee have agreed to move forward with the second phase of the “Thais Help Thais at District Offices” campaign, continuing to offer affordable consumer goods and household essentials while supporting businesses and entrepreneurs. The first phase generated more than 135.4 million baht in sales, with over 51,491 participating merchants serving more than 1.08 million consumers. The government estimated the program also helped households save 29.62 million baht through discounted purchases.



The second phase will be held every other Friday from July through September at district offices nationwide, beginning July 3. Shoppers will be able to purchase discounted consumer goods, household essentials, house-brand products from major wholesale and retail chains, alternative brands, and other value-priced items. The program will also provide direct sales opportunities for community enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises, OTOP producers, and local manufacturers. The Department of Provincial Administration said provincial and district offices have been instructed to prepare venues and coordinate with wholesale and retail operators to ensure the program runs smoothly and remains easily accessible to the public.
