The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand warns that escalating tensions involving Israel, Iran and the United States could threaten regional stability and maritime security, particularly along the vital shipping route of the Strait of Hormuz.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed deep concern over rising tensions in the Middle East following military actions involving Israel, the United States, and Iran, warning that continued hostilities could worsen the crisis and threaten regional stability.

The ministry said the conflict poses risks to civilians across the region and may also affect people from other countries, including Thai nationals. Authorities warned that ongoing attacks and retaliation could further destabilize the situation and pose a greater threat to lives and property.

Concerns have also grown over maritime security after a Thai-flagged cargo vessel carrying 23 Thai crew members was attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. The incident has raised alarm over the safety of navigation along one of the world’s most important shipping routes.

Thailand called on all parties involved to exercise maximum restraint, reduce tensions, and return to negotiations and diplomatic dialogue. The ministry also urged adherence to the United Nations Charter and international law, including protection for civilians and civilian infrastructure, to prevent further escalation. (NNT)
