Public and private sector leaders outline Thailand’s vision for a holistic Wellness Ecosystem, highlighting the country’s strengths in traditional healing, modern healthcare, and preventive medicine as key drivers in advancing Thailand’s health and wellness economy onto the global stage.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Public and private sectors have united to build a holistic Wellness Ecosystem, pushing Thailand’s health economy toward international leadership

Mr. Chuwit Sirivajjakul, Deputy Governor for Policy and Planning, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), stated: “Thailand’s strength lies not only in its external beauty but in the deep-rooted culture of care and compassion within our society.



From traditional Thai medicine and massage to holistic wellness practices and internationally accredited modern healthcare systems, these elements form a strong foundation that enables Thailand to step confidently into the role of ‘a global health and wellness destination the Wellness Hub Thailand, The Land of Life: The Journey Within initiative represents a new paradigm for Thai tourism—one that responds to the needs of modern travelers seeking journeys that nurture both physical and mental well-being. The development of a Wellness Ecosystem also increases value per visitor, generating income and distributing benefits across the entire tourism and wellness value chain.


Mr.Tanupol Virunhagarun, Chief Executive Officer of BDMS Wellness Clinic and BDMS Wellness Resort, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) said that despite rapid global development, people today face rising health challenges, including aging societies, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), urban stress, sleep disorders, burnout, and physical and mental imbalance.
