
BANGKOK, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has joined 22 leading Thai tourism businesses to showcase the country at ITB Asia 2025, Asia’s largest travel trade exhibition, held from October 15 to 17 at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Singapore. The participation aims to expand short-haul markets, attract high-value travelers, and promote sustainable tourism in the region.
Led by TAT Deputy Governor for Digital, Research, and Development Kittiphong Praphatthong, the Thai delegation includes companies recognized for service excellence and sustainable practices. Participants range from Thailand Tourism Award winners such as Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit, Cross Hotels and Resorts, and Vana Nava Water Jungle to major industry players including Thai Airways International, The Ascott International Management (Thailand), and Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. The group represents the diversity and quality of Thailand’s tourism industry.
The Thailand Pavilion features a contemporary Thai design, combining modern aesthetics with cultural expression. It includes dedicated business meeting zones and a “Thai Charm Demonstration Zone,” offering visitors an interactive experience that showcases the country’s wellness traditions and creativity. The pavilion was officially opened on October 15 by representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore and the Chonburi Provincial Administrative Organization.
Between January and mid-October 2025, Thailand welcomed over 25 million international visitors, with Singapore remaining one of its strongest markets. From January to September, 73,522 Singaporeans visited Thailand, more than 80 percent of whom were repeat travelers. Popular destinations include Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai, and Krabi provinces, with visitors spending an average of 45,000 baht per trip and staying about five days.
Air connectivity between Singapore and Thailand has reportedly recovered to nearly 87 percent of pre-pandemic levels, supported by 283 weekly flights. (NNT)
