BANGKOK, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is promoting Thai tourism at the Tourism Expo Japan 2025 (TEJ 2025) in Nagoya, aiming to attract 1.25 million Japanese visitors and generate nearly 49 billion baht in revenue by the end of the year. The event, one of Japan’s largest travel fairs, runs from September 25th to 28th.

The Thailand booth was officially opened by TAT Deputy Governor for Asia and the South Pacific, Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai. She stated that TAT’s strategy is to present a positive image of Thailand through the concept “Journey through the 5 Must Do in Thailand,” using the nation’s soft power to appeal to high-value travelers and new segments like Gen Z, active seniors, and digital nomads.

The 90-square-meter Thailand booth offers an interactive experience with activities designed to be “Instagrammable.” Highlights include Muay Thai demonstrations, traditional cultural performances, and DIY workshops such as perfume making, allowing visitors to get a hands-on taste of Thai culture.

So far this year, Thailand has welcomed over 767,000 Japanese tourists, a 5% increase year-on-year. TAT aims to build on this momentum, capitalizing on an 8.5% increase in airline seat capacity from Japan, to achieve its year-end goal. (NNT)
