BANGKOK, Thailand – His Serene Highness Major General Mom Chao Nawaphan Yugala, joined by Tourism and Sports Minister Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, recently led a Thai delegation to Riyadh for high-level talks with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sports, advancing cooperation in Muay Thai and strengthening bilateral sports relations.

The delegation, which included senior officials from the Sports Authority of Thailand and the International Federation of Muaythai Associations, met with His Royal Highness Prince Fahad bin Mansour bin Nasser Al Saud, president of the Saudi Muay Thai Federation, and Adwa al-Arifi, assistant minister of sports of Saudi Arabia.

Both sides discussed collaboration in athlete development, training programs, competitions, and the broader promotion of Muay Thai on the international stage. The talks also addressed closer coordination among governing bodies to expand participation at the youth and community levels.

Thai officials said Muay Thai continues to grow in popularity in Saudi Arabia, attracting children, young people, and adults.
