BANGKOK, Thailand – The Joint Press Center on the Thailand-Cambodia Border Situation wishes to clarify the facts to the public and the international community regarding allegations made by the Cambodian side following the entry into force of the ceasefire agreement.
Thailand rejects any allegation of encroachment and reaffirms that:
- Thailand respects the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the principle of non-use of force in accordance with international law, acting in strict accordance with the Joint Statement agreed upon by both sides.
- Thailand strictly adheres to the United Nations Charter, international humanitarian law, and the relevant conventions.
- Thailand is committed to resolving issues peacefullyand through bilateral negotiations, particularly through the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC). (NNT)
