BANGKOK, Thailand – All foreign tourists entering Thailand, starting May 1, will be required to register their travel details through the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) system within three days prior to arrival, under new regulations announced by the Immigration Bureau. The digital platform replaces the traditional paper-based TM.6 immigration form, aligning Thailand’s entry procedures with modern international practices.
Foreign visitors arriving by land, sea, or air must complete their TDAC registration online at Required information includes passport details, personal data, travel itineraries, accommodation in Thailand, and health status as mandated by the Ministry of Public Health. A mobile application is also being developed to support the system in the future.
After submitting their information, travelers will receive a confirmation email, which they must present along with their travel documents to immigration officers upon arrival. The TDAC platform currently supports five languages, including English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, and Japanese. Public information campaigns, including instructional videos and leaflets, have been prepared to guide users through the process.
The Immigration Bureau has coordinated the new system with other agencies, integrating TDAC operations with the E-Visa system, the Department of Disease Control’s health screening platform, and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports’ tourism fee collection system. These steps are expected to help streamline the arrival process and reduce processing times at immigration checkpoints.
The Immigration Bureau has urged all visitors to register on time to avoid potential entry delays once the new requirement takes effect.
You can complete it up to three days before your arrival at: https://tdac.immigration.go.th
If you are arriving on 1 May, you can fill it out on 28, 29, 30 April or even 1 May itself.
No worries if you don’t have a smartphone — there will be dedicated computer terminals available at the airport!
