SONGKHLA, Thailand – Minister of Industry Varawut Silpa-archa has opened the “3-Dimensional Power for Sustainable SME Growth” fair in Songkhla, highlighting funding, capacity building, and support for vulnerable groups to help Thai SMEs address global economic challenges and enhance competitiveness. On August 31, 2026, at TR Rock Hill Hotel in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, the Minister presided over the opening of the second “3-Dimensional Power for Sustainable SME Growth” fair. The event, themed “Building Influencers with Product Tags: Turning Ordinary Posts into Successful Sales with Affiliate Tools,” was attended by the Deputy Governor of Songkhla, Ministry of Industry executives, partner agencies, SME entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders.

The Minister noted that SMEs face challenges such as global economic uncertainty, rising business costs, new environmental trade standards, and rapidly changing consumer behavior. He emphasized the need for entrepreneurs to adapt and improve their businesses to remain competitive and achieve sustainable growth. The Ministry of Industry has tasked SME D Bank, a state-owned financial institution, with supporting SMEs nationwide through a “3-Dimensional” approach: funding, development, and assistance for vulnerable groups.

The Minister emphasized that SMEs are a vital foundation of the Thai economy. Strong SMEs drive grassroots development and contribute to national growth. He commended SME D Bank for supporting local entrepreneurs and encouraged participants to apply the knowledge gained to grow their businesses, increase income, add value, and achieve sustainable growth. The “3-Dimensional Power for Sustainable SME Growth” fair serves as a key platform connecting government, financial institutions, and entrepreneurs to strengthen Thai SMEs and support their transition toward sustainable growth.
