Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul inaugurates THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2026 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani, highlighting Thailand’s push toward smart agriculture, food innovation, and global food security, with over 3,600 international exhibitors taking part.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul opened THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA 2026 on May 27, reaffirming Thailand’s ambition to become a global hub for future food innovation through smart agriculture and advanced food technologies. Speaking at the opening ceremony at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani in Nonthaburi province, the Prime Minister said food is no longer just a consumer product but a key issue linked to global stability, security, and strategic development. He said the exhibition is an important platform for knowledge exchange, international cooperation, and shaping the future of the food industry.


​The Prime Minister emphasized Thailand’s longstanding role as the “Kitchen of the World” and said the country is advancing toward becoming the “Future Food Hub of the World” by leveraging its agricultural resources, strong food production systems, and ability to add value through innovation. He added that the government promotes smart agriculture and next-generation food innovation to support economic growth while ensuring environmental sustainability and improving quality of life. The Prime Minister also stated that Thailand is ready to serve as a reliable partner in regional and global food security. This year’s THAIFEX – ANUGA ASIA is the largest edition to date, with more than 3,600 companies from around the world participating, reflecting global confidence in Thailand and Asia’s food industry.
