The premier identified trust, inclusive participation, and respect for international rules as central to restoring confidence in the multilateral system. Anutin described peace as extending beyond the absence of war to include constructive cooperation among nations. His remarks covered conflicts and regional challenges, including the situation in Palestine, Thailand-Cambodia border issues, and Thailand’s support for peace and national reconciliation in Myanmar. He stated that proceedings under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea concern the delimitation of maritime boundaries.
The Thai leader raised transnational threats, including narcotics and online crime. He detailed Thailand’s cooperation with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime and called for closer international coordination to combat cross-border criminal activity. Anutin also identified a rules-based international order and broader participation by countries in shaping their shared future as essential to rebuilding trust in the international system.
