
BANGKOK, Thailand – A recent report from the Thailand Film Office revealed that between January and March 2026, 162 international films were shot in the country, generating over USD 36 million in investment.
Japan led in the number of productions with 24, followed by India with 17 and South Korea with 16. In terms of investment, the United States topped the list at USD 9.5 million, followed by India at USD 3.6 million and France at USD 2.8 million.
The report also highlights a notable rise in Indian film productions in Thailand, both in the number of projects and in investment value, reflecting Thailand’s growing appeal as a global filming destination and a driver of economic growth.
