The government has set aside 2.4 billion baht to continue implementing six major projects in fiscal 2022 under the 2023-2027 Thailand Digital Government Development Plan.

The funding boost is 20% higher than the 2 billion baht previously allocated in fiscal 2021.

The Digital Government Development Agency (DGA) said the projects include the One identification program. The One SME scheme, handled by the Office of SMEs Promotion, aims to strengthen small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by helping them access state e-services and government projects.

The second project is the welfare platform that would allow people to access information on state welfare programs and the third project focuses on digital transcripts.

The fourth project meanwhile involves data development for the agricultural sector and the fifth project relates to a law portal for enhancing the process of public participation and complaint procedures.

Finally, the sixth project focuses on health and medical services, with the DGA and related agencies planning to develop applications to issue digital health certificates and help lower the risk of COVID-19 transmissions. (NNT)
