BANGKOK, Thailand – The Transport Ministry has instructed the state-run Transport Company Limited (BKS) to implement its Quick Win initiative, rolling out a special promotion called “Go Early, Return Later” to enhance convenience and safety for passengers during the 2026 New Year travel period.

Deputy Transport Minister Mallika Jirapantwanich said the campaign is designed to support public transport users and encourage the use of buses through digital booking channels, while ensuring safety, timeliness, and quality service. The initiative also aligns with the government’s goal of creating seamless connectivity between buses, trains, boats, and air travel, enabling passengers to travel smoothly and confidently.

Quick Win Policy Details

“Go Early, Return Later” Promotion:
Passengers booking tickets online via the BKS E-Ticket app, website (https://tcl99web.transport.co.th), or social booking channels (Facebook, Line) will receive a 20% discount.

Outbound travel: Dec. 22–25, 2025; booking period: now until Nov. 30, 2025.

Return travel: Jan. 6–8, 2026; booking period: Dec. 1–15, 2025.
Tickets are subject to BKS terms and conditions and cannot be canceled or changed.


Enhanced Travel Convenience and Safety:

BKS units have been instructed to ensure buses, stations, and staff meet safety and service standards. Vehicles will be checked for readiness, and drivers must comply with all safety requirements. The aim is to improve the quality, safety, and accessibility of Thailand’s public transport system in line with government policy.


Free Vehicle Inspections:

From Dec. 1–31, 2025, between 08:30 and 16:00, BKS will provide free safety inspections at the Rangsit Maintenance and Vehicle Inspection Center. Up to 20 items will be checked for cars and motorcycles, including brakes, tires, windshield wipers, oil levels, brake fluid, and lights, to ensure safe travel during the busy New Year period.

Deputy Minister Mallika emphasized that public safety is the highest priority and that BKS will fully implement measures to make travel smooth, safe, and reassuring for passengers during the New Year holidays. The campaign also aims to prevent road accidents and enhance confidence in Thailand’s public transport services. (TNA)
