BANGKOK, Thailand – The Transport Company Limited has launched a new fleet of Euro 5 standard buses under the theme “Change For The Better,” with services beginning this month (Sept). The launch took place at the Bangkok Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2) and was led by Jantira Buruspat, Chairperson of the Board. The event was attended by company executives, transport officials, and representatives from both government and private sectors.
The updated fleet introduces a new corporate image, including redesigned buses, updated staff uniforms, and female drivers in a pink color scheme. Each 12-meter-long bus features Euro 5 engines for reduced emissions and improved fuel efficiency. Onboard amenities include restrooms, USB charging ports, free Wi-Fi, GPS tracking, and CCTV. The three seating configurations include a 24-seat VIP, a 32-seat Special, and a 36-seat First-Class option.
These buses will replace aging company-owned vehicles and expired rentals currently in use across the country. The Transport Company, which now operates 254 buses, plans to expand the fleet with a total of 311 new vehicles under a five-year lease agreement with Ittiporn Import Co., Ltd.
Delivery will be completed in four stages: 96 buses in September, another 96 in October, 78 in November, and the final 41 in December. The rollout is expected to enhance public transport services nationwide through improved comfort, reliability, and environmental standards. (NNT)
