Thai silk, culture, and faith take center stage in tribute to the Queen’s fourth-cycle birthday anniversary

Religious ceremonies, cultural performances, a Thai silk festival, and volunteer activities will take place nationwide throughout June to mark Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday anniversary and celebrate her contributions to Thai arts, culture, and heritage.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Culture is organizing a series of commemorative activities throughout June to honor Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of her fourth-cycle birthday anniversary on June 3, 2026. Culture Minister Sabeeda Thaised said each event is held to express gratitude for Her Majesty’s service to the nation and her contributions to religion, arts, culture, Thai textiles, traditional craftsmanship, and the preservation of Thai identity. Religious activities will include nationwide meditation programs, prayer sessions, and community assistance activities, as well as events organized by provincial cultural offices and temples across all 76 provinces. The ministry is also coordinating ceremonies involving Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Brahmanism-Hinduism, and Sikhism, with a five-religion ceremony scheduled for June 4 at the National Theater.



Arts and cultural programs will feature an official commemorative emblem created by the Fine Arts Department and a nationwide performance by the Bunditpatanasilpa Institute and its 12 Colleges of Dramatic Arts. The Department of Cultural Promotion will present a Thai Puppet Theater touring program for educational institutions across the country, while the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Culture and the Thai Silk and Culture Promotion Association will host the 15th Thai Silk Festival: Thai Silk on the Global Stage at the Royal Thai Navy Auditorium on June 6. The ministry will also publish a commemorative volume presenting Her Majesty’s use of Thai textiles, fashion, jewelry, and cultural symbolism in royal attire. Additional activities will include volunteer and community service programs organized by agencies under the ministry, ranging from support for disadvantaged communities to environmental conservation efforts.
