BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra declined to answer questions regarding the Thai-Cambodian border tensions and growing speculation about a Cabinet reshuffle, choosing instead to smile and walk away.
The Prime Minister had just presided over a Buddhist chanting and alms-giving ceremony involving 148 monks, held in honor of Her Majesty the Queen’s birthday.
As reporters attempted to ask about the ongoing territorial dispute in the border area of Chong Bok, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani, and whether there would be changes in the Cabinet lineup, Paetongtarn greeted participants but deliberately avoided the press zone.
She rerouted her departure to avoid the media, who pursued her for comments. However, she responded only with a smile and immediately entered her vehicle without addressing any of the questions. (TNA)
