Thai-New Zealand police sign MOU to tackle transnational crimes

BANGKOK, 17 July 2012 – Thai and New Zealand police have signed an MOU, agreeing to help combatting transnational crimes and working together on other police’s affairs.

Deputy Police Chief Pongsapat Pongcharoen and New Zealand Police Deputy Commissioner Mike Bush yesterday signed the MOU to increase their cooperation in police works. Foreign Affairs Minister Surapong Tovichakchaikul was among the witnesses during the signing.

The MOU is intended to expand the existing cooperation in law enforcement, especially in transnational crime suppression. Other collaborations include law enforcement on disaster management.
