Several agencies have laid out their plans to provide the highest level of security protection for economic leaders participating in the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week. Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan presided over a security meeting for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week (AELW) in Bangkok.



The meeting touched on the monitoring of movements that may affect the AELW, while several agencies have rehearsed security protocols.

Security, health, and traffic measures are coordinated between the event organizers, the Ministry of Public Health, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Expressway Authority of Thailand, the national cybersecurity unit, and the Counter Terrorist Operations Center.



The DPM urged officials to take care of their health, and for the superiors to regularly check up on their units to ensure strong mental and physical health.

Gen Prawit called for all joint units to fully support the Royal Thai Police’s operations to provide the maximum level of security protection and to communicate with the general public about the planned road closures. (NNT)
