
BANGKOK, Thailand – Pinsuda Jayanama, Director-General of the Department of International Organizations at Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held discussions with Robyn Mudie, First Assistant Secretary of the Southeast Asia Regional and Mainland Division at Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), during a recent visit to Thailand.
The two officials exchanged views on pressing global challenges impacting the multilateral system and underscored the importance of reinforcing the United Nations’ role in upholding a rules-based international order. Their dialogue focused on strengthening Thai–Australian cooperation within the UN framework, with particular attention to sustainable development, regional peace and security, and the promotion of human rights.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to multilateralism and their ongoing collaboration to address regional and global priorities through effective and constructive international engagement. (NNT)
