Thai AirAsia (TAA) inaugurated flights to four domestic destinations from Suvarnabhumi Airport, its new aviation hub in additional to already established Don Mueang Airport.
Chief executive of Thai Air Asia, Santisuk Klongchaiya said that passengers can now board AirAsia flights at Suvarnabhumi Airport to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi and Surat Thani. It operates five flights to Chiang Mai daily, three to Phuket and two to Surat Thani and Krabi.
The new service will serve transit passengers from international flights to travel further to major tourist provinces in Thailand in the future.
Although the tourism has not returned to normal (due to the pandemic), he said AirAsia sees opportunities to increase service at Suvarnabhumi Airport as an option for domestic passengers.
Meanwhile, services at Don Mueang Airport are operated as usual.
To promote its service at Suvarnabhumi Airport, special prices are offered for BIG members, starting from 744 baht per trip and 787 baht for the general public, who reserve their air tickets from September 23-27 and travel from Sept 25- Oct 24. (TNA)
