The authorization is also in line with the roadmap on digital services which aims to shorten the filing process and provide better services to taxpayers and businesses.

The Digital Government Development Agency (DGA) and the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC) launched the Biz Portal in October last year. The electronic platform offers one-stop public services for operators and offers operating licenses to brokerages and trading businesses.

The SEC said in a statement that the service can verify with credibility and accuracy, as well as minimize the needless use of paper copies. It added that the SEC will develop its online services to reduce travel costs and paperwork preparation in order to better facilitate businesses and the public. (NNT)
