BANGKOK, Thailand – The Royal Thai Army held a ceremony to honor soldiers killed during the recent border disputes with Cambodia.

Army Commander-in-Chief General Phana Khlaewplotthuk presided over the event at the Army Headquarters, paying tribute to the sacrifice of the fallen personnel.

The ceremony, held at the Army Memorial Wall—the site commemorating the names of national military heroes—included a religious ritual for the deceased soldiers, a full honor guard salute, and a reading of the eulogy.

Gen. Phana then affixed plaques bearing the names of 16 fallen soldiers from the Thai-Cambodia border conflict onto the memorialม followed by the laying of wreaths.

The ceremony concluded with a Buddhist service and the presentation of financial aid and commemorative items to the families of the deceased. (TNA)
