PHETCHABUN, Thailand – Tourism in Phetchabun Province increased significantly during the winter season with Rock Mountain 2026, a national rock music festival organized by GMM SHOW on January 24, 2026, at Jolly Land in Khao Kho District. The event attracted tens of thousands of visitors nationwide, set against the region’s mountains and cool winter climate.

Attendees began arriving at midday to exchange wristbands and purchase official merchandise before the gates opened in the afternoon. Performances started at 5 P.M., creating an energetic and welcoming atmosphere. The combination of lighting, sound, and stage design, along with the natural surroundings and cool weather, provided a unique open-air concert experience.



Rock Mountain 2026 featured top Thai rock and pop-rock artists, including BIG ASS, Retrospect, Potato, Klear, Taitosmith, Three Man Down, Joey Phuwasit, Little John, Silly Fools, and Sweet Mullet, who performed popular hits throughout the evening. The shows took place in light mist and temperatures near 16 degrees Celsius, reinforcing the festival’s reputation as a signature winter rock event.

Organizers enforced strict safety and order measures to ensure smooth operations. Prohibited items included weapons, sharp objects, flammable materials, illegal drugs, cannabis, and e-cigarettes. Smoking was banned in concert areas, with designated smoking zones available. Violations led to warnings, removal from the venue, and confiscation of wristbands. Fighting, violence, and illegal activities were strictly prohibited, and offenders were removed and subject to legal action.


In addition to entertainment, Rock Mountain 2026 generated significant economic and tourism benefits for Phetchabun Province. Accommodation occupancy in Khao Kho and nearby districts reached nearly 100 percent, and local businesses, including restaurants, cafés, shops, fuel stations, and transport services, experienced increased demand.

Local operators reported that the festival stimulated spending and distributed income throughout the community. Economic activity during the event is estimated to have exceeded 400 million baht, reinforcing Phetchabun’s position as a winter tourism destination and a leading province for seasonal music festivals that combine entertainment, tourism, and community-based economic growth.
