BANGKOK, Thailand – Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana has extended urgent assistance to support security and civilian protection along the Thai–Cambodian border amid ongoing unrest affecting both military personnel and local communities.
Through the Hataithip Fund of the Chulabhorn Foundation, Her Royal Highness has provided 121,089,300 baht in financial support for the construction of protective infrastructure in border areas. The projects are being implemented under the supervision of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters and the Royal Thai Army.
Completed works include eight kilometers of surveillance roads and border fencing, 428 fortified bunkers in high-risk locations, and 41 civilian shelters with capacities of 40 and 60 people, distributed across all affected border provinces. These facilities have strengthened safety for frontline personnel and provided secure refuge for residents and community defense volunteers.
Authorities say the protective structures have reduced risk exposure for both military units and civilians and improved emergency readiness in communities facing ongoing instability along the border.
Members of the public who wish to support ongoing humanitarian and security efforts may contribute through the Hataithip Fund. Donations are accepted at Bangkok Bank, Lak Si Plaza Branch, under the account name Hataithip Fund, with current account number 229-3-03266-6 and savings account number 229-4-29977-7. Electronic donations can be made via the fund’s official QR code and qualify for double tax deductions. (NNT)
