
BANGKOK, Thailand – Prince of Songkla University has hosted the 13th PSU Education Conference in Songkhla province, welcoming academics, university administrators, and students from across Thailand to discuss new directions for higher education. The event was organized in cooperation with the Association of Professional and Organizational Development Network of Thailand Higher Education, and the Thailand Cyber University Project.
The conference was presided over by Asst. Prof. Dr. Niwat Keawpradub, president of Prince of Songkla University. Asst. Prof. Dr. Thakerng Wongsirichot, vice president for academic affairs and international relations, presented the conference report, while Professor Jintavee Khlaisang, director of the Thailand Cyber University Project, delivered congratulatory remarks on behalf of the partner organizations.
About 300 participants from higher education institutions nationwide attended the two-day event at the 60th Anniversary of His Majesty the King’s Accession to the Throne International Convention Center. The gathering was held under the theme “Reimagining Higher Education in a Changing World: Innovation and Collaboration” in conjunction with the Southern CWIE Forum 2026.
The conference examined how universities can adapt to rapid changes in technology, the economy, society, and the environment. Discussions covered curriculum development, teaching methods, research cooperation, and partnerships with government, industry, and communities to prepare students with skills suited to future labor markets.
The program included keynote lectures, academic presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and research sessions. A total of 75 research presentations were delivered, with awards presented for outstanding work, while 10 organizations and companies set up exhibition booths to introduce their activities and publicize employment opportunities.
