Prime Minister Anutin showcases saxophone skills at ‘Young Thai Music Ambassadors’ Season 2 finals

The finals of “Young Thai Music Ambassadors” Season 2 at Central WestVille Shopping Center saw 14 talented youths compete for a royal trophy and over 100,000 baht, with Prime Minister Anutin joining the celebration with a surprise saxophone performance.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has presided over the final round of the “Young Thai Music Ambassadors” Season 2 competition, a youth music contest promoting Thai cultural heritage through traditional songs. Held at Central WestVille Shopping Center in Bangkok and organized by the Privy Purse Bureau, the event drew wide participation and strong public interest. Sudruetai Lertkasem, Director-General of the Public Relations Department, also attended as a guest of honor.

The contest featured 14 finalists who advanced from over 1,300 nationwide applicants. Participants competed for a royal trophy and more than 100,000 baht in prize money. The program encourages young people to engage with Thai music as a path to developing discipline, perseverance, and cultural pride, while supporting broader efforts to sustain traditional arts through youth engagement.

A panel of judges comprising National Artist Virach Yuthavorn, music producer Neung Jakkawal, and cultural advocate Briphanth Chayphumi evaluated the final performances. The event also included special guest performances from other well-known artists who shared their musical journeys and entertained the audience.



One of the most memorable moments came when Prime Minister Anutin surprised the crowd with a solo saxophone performance, drawing warm applause and adding a personal connection to the celebration of Thai music. His appearance highlighted the government’s support for nurturing youth talent through creative platforms that preserve national culture.

The final round of “Young Thai Music Ambassadors” Season 2 will be broadcast nationwide on November 1, 2025, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on NBT, Channel 7HD, and Channel One 31, offering viewers across the country a chance to witness the next generation of Thai music ambassadors. (NNT)
