Bangkok – The Prime Minister’s Office has assured the public that the temple fund corruption case is proceeding according to the judicial process and all sides are being treated fairly.

Minister SuwaphanTanyuwattana meanwhile says the Buddha Palang Paen Din group is within its rights to call for the expulsion of National Office of Buddhism (NOB) Director Pol Lt Col Pongporn Phramsaneh and the matter will be considered by the relevant agency. He gave an assurance that all issues will be dealt with according to the facts and the judicial process and urged members of the NOB to continue to perform their duties.

The minister asserted that authorities have had to act on information indicating corruption took place in the national temple fund and that the law must be maintained. He said as the issue is currently in the hands of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), all sides should wait to hear from those accused and for any conclusions from the commission.
