PM thanks China for understanding Thailand


BANGKOK, 24 April – Government Spokesman Yongyut Maiyalarp on Friday held a news conference on the meeting between Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission of China Xu Qiliang and Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. The Thai PM welcomed the deputy chairman to Thailand and thanked China for understanding the Thai political situation.

Gen. Prayut also emphasized the relations between Thailand and China in all dimensions and said Thailand welcomed Chinese tourists. The Thai government ensured maximum security for all Chinese tourists, the premier said.

The deputy chairman expressed his confidence that Thailand would be able to adhere to its roadmap and reduce national conflicts for long-term stability.

The spokesman stated further that the two parties agreed to strengthen military cooperation in all areas and Thailand thanked China for assisting Thailand in terms of research.
