PM Prayut visits Chiang Mai, Lampang for Cabinet meeting

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha prayed and greeted residents in Chiang Mai as he prepared for a mobile Cabinet meeting in Lampang.

Prayut landed in the northern city Monday and headed to the Kruba Srivichai monument on Srivichai Road before moving to Phra That Doi Suthep Temple.

Guarded with heavy security, the premier engaged in a bit of electioneering, greeting cheering crowds who shouted “Uncle Tu fighting”.

He then traveled to Chom Thong District to worship Phra That Si Chom Thong and made merit with Abbot Phra Prom Mongkol before meeting the public at Rajaprajanukroh School 31 in Mae Chaem District, and Baan Mae Pan Safe Nature Project at the district’s Agricultural Learning Center.

The PM then departed for Lampang to meet the public at Baan Tha Luk Community Market in Mae Tha District and a ceramic production plan at the Indra Ceramics factory in Phra Bat Sub-district.

In the evening he planned to tour the Ratchada Bridge and street art at Wang River rim to promote second-city tourism.

The first official mobile Cabinet meeting of 2019 will be held Jan. 15 in Lampang at Lampang Rajabhat University.
