ANG THONG, ThailandPrime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul visited Ang Thong, his first provincial stop since officially taking office, pledging to work fully over the next four months and ruling out any early dissolution of Parliament. During the visit, he also celebrated the 46th birthday of Minister Phradorn Prisananantakul, a minister attached to the Prime Minister’s Office.

The visit took place at the Ang Thong Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO), where Anutin met with local residents and officials and presented birthday wishes to Minister Phradorn. Family members, including former Deputy Minister Somsak Prisananantakul and younger brother MP Karavee Prisananantakul of the Bhumjaithai Party, were present, alongside prominent local political figures such as former party deputy leader Jongchai Tiengtham and party director Nikorn Jamnong.

Governor Chawanin Wongsatitjirakarn of Ang Thong welcomed the Prime Minister, emphasizing that this was the province’s first visit since Anutin’s royal appointment.

On stage, Minister Phradorn presented a garland to the Prime Minister, who gently helped him to stand. Speaking to the crowd, Anutin expressed his gratitude to the people of Ang Thong for their ongoing support throughout his political career. He praised the work of the Prisananantakul family and their dedication to public service, emphasizing that their contributions were rooted in diligence, capability, and commitment to the people.

“Here, we don’t have ‘bad ministers,’ we have our own capable leaders,” Anutin said, referring to Minister Phradorn. “He is entrusted to serve the people, not to wield power for himself. Both he and his brother Koravee will continue working to benefit Ang Thong and all of Thailand.”

Anutin reflected on his political journey, noting that his experience and growth were shaped by role models such as Somsak Prisananantakul and other senior political figures. He highlighted the importance of serving as a people’s representative above all else, stating that positions and titles exist to enable service, not for personal gain.

During the visit, Anutin also assessed flood control measures in Ang Thong. He noted that water levels this year are lower than the previous year but stressed the need for continued vigilance to ensure public safety.

The Prime Minister reassured residents that the next four months of his government will be fully dedicated to public service, emphasizing that he would utilize Minister Phradorn’s skills to oversee budget management and ensure that Thailand’s 3.78 trillion baht budget benefits the nation efficiently. He joked that Minister Phradorn is highly capable in every respect except for finding a spouse.

Anutin concluded with birthday wishes for Minister Phradorn, offering a traditional poem expressing health, prosperity, and success in life and work. The crowd joined in singing “Happy Birthday,” and Minister Phradorn promised to channel the support and trust of the people into driving progress for Ang Thong and the country alongside the Prime Minister.
