BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul has delivered his New Year address as Thailand enters 2026, extending goodwill to Thai citizens at home and abroad. The message conveyed hopes for renewal, strength, and stability as the nation moves into the New Year.

The premier acknowledged that many people faced hardship, uncertainty, and fatigue over the past year, while praising the enduring spirit of Thai society. He described patience, resilience, kindness, and mutual care as qualities that have enabled communities to withstand difficulties and support one another through challenging times.



During the New Year holiday period, the prime minister encouraged people to spend time with their families and to travel responsibly, urging respect for the law and attention to safety. He also expressed appreciation for officials across all agencies who continue to work during the holidays to facilitate travel and maintain public safety.

Special recognition was extended to members of the armed forces and security personnel serving along the border, whose continued duties and sacrifices were acknowledged as essential to national security. The government offered encouragement to all personnel performing their responsibilities throughout the holiday period.
