Over 53 million eligible voters set to take part in Thailand’s 2026 election

Thailand prepares for the 2026 general election, with more than 53 million eligible voters nationwide, including over three million first-time voters, and the largest voter base concentrated in the Northeast and Central regions.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s 2026 election will see over 53 million eligible voters, with 3.2-3.4 million first-time voters, accounting for 6% of the total voter population.

The largest voter base is in the Northeast region, with 17.5 million people, followed by the Central region with 17.1 million people.
