Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has announced new, easier visa measures for inbound travelers from China.
- The MFA has reduced the number of documents when applying for a visa. The six required documents are (1) biodata page of passport, (2) photograph, (3) flight ticket, (4) proof of accommodation, (5) financial evidence, and (6) document indicating current residency.
- The MFA has also shortened the visa approval time from 14 working days to seven working days.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports is currently developing a data linkage system for visa document approval that would help shorten the visa approval period. (PRD)
