Led by Deputy Defence Minister Lt Gen Adul Boonthumjaroen, the hub at Don Mueang’s Air Force Museum will receive, sort, and dispatch donations from government, private, and public sources to aid communities affected by ongoing southern floods, with deliveries accepted starting Nov. 28.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The government has launched a coordination center to manage the intake and distribution of flood-relief assistance for residents in southern Thailand. Lt Gen Adul Boonthumjaroen, Deputy Minister of Defence, has been appointed to lead the center, directing cooperation among relevant agencies to ensure aid reaches affected communities quickly and efficiently.

The center is headquartered at the National Aviation Museum of the Royal Thai Air Force in Don Mueang district, serving as the main hub for receiving donations and forwarding supplies to flood-stricken provinces. The facility will handle contributions from state agencies, private organizations, and members of the public.

On Wednesday night (Nov 26), the center held a virtual meeting with the Front Operations Unit of the Emergency Flood Situation Command Center to review conditions across the South. Agencies provided updates on ongoing relief efforts and discussed additional support measures to strengthen operations in the coming days.

Beginning tomorrow (Nov 28), the public may deliver relief items—including essential goods, survival kits, and delivery drones—directly to the Air Force Museum site. Staff will coordinate the sorting and transport of these supplies to teams working in areas with limited accessibility. (NNT)
