Myanmar people rally against execution of activists in front of embassy in Bangkok

The demonstrators who lived in Thailand gathered at the embassy on Sathon Nuea Road in Bang Rak district and condemned the Myanmar government’s execution of the four democracy and human rights activists.

Myanmar nationals on Tuesday rallied in front of the Myanmar embassy to protest against the execution of four activists in Myanmar.

The demonstrators who lived in Thailand gathered at the embassy on Sathon Nuea Road in Bang Rak district. They condemned the Myanmar government’s execution of the four democracy and human rights activists including pro-democracy activist Kyaw Min Yu, aka Jimmy, Phyo Zeya Thaw, a former lawmaker of the National League for Democracy Party, and Hla Myo Aung.



The protesters waved Myanmar national flags and wore either red headbands or red hats with different messages. They were on a pavement and a footbridge connecting to a local BTS electric train station.

The rally was peaceful and police from the Metropolitan Police Division 5 were deployed to ensure order there. (TNA)
