Two outbound lanes on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road near the Din Daeng exit are closed for the MRT Orange Line ventilation-shaft works, with three lanes remaining open through January 9, 2026. Motorists are urged to plan extra travel time.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) is conducting a traffic diversion on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road (outbound) starting at 10:00 p.m. on December 13 to support the construction of a ventilation shaft for the Orange Line MRT Project. The work, carried out by CH. Karnchang Public Co., Ltd. and Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), will take place on the central island of the Chalerm Maha Nakhon Expressway.

Two additional lanes near the Din Daeng Expressway exit ramp will be closed around the clock until January 9, 2026. Three lanes will remain open. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible and allow extra travel time.

To ensure safety and minimize disruption, MRTA has instructed contractors to install clear warning signs, manage traffic, and maintain safe, orderly worksites. Further updates will be provided in advance if traffic patterns change again.

Motorists can call 063-217-6532 for more information or follow the project’s Facebook page: MRT Orange Line – Bang Khun Non to Thailand Cultural Centre Section. MRTA has asked for public cooperation during this construction phase. (NNT)
