BANGKOK, 20 August 2015 – The Meteorological Department has said the North and Northeast of the country will continue to experience continuous rainfall.

More rain has been forecast in these regions as a monsoon trough moves across Myanmar and Laos before entering the upper parts of Thailand from August 21 – 25.

A southwesterly wind in the Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand will bring precipitation to the South. Those planning to travel to Taiwan are advised to consult the weather forecast before departure, as Typhoon ‘Goni’ is expected to make landfall on August 22.
